AI Live Chat

On this page

The AI Live Chat addon puts a chat bubble on every page of your website. It answers questions about your centre and about hearing, in the language the visitor wrote in: Bangla, English, or Bangla typed in English letters. When it cannot answer, it asks for a phone number so a person can, and your staff can step into any conversation and reply themselves.

It works with no API key at all, from your own answers and your website's pages. With a key from an AI provider it words its answers better and can handle questions nobody anticipated.

Switching it on

AI Live Chat is a premium addon, so it has to be in your licence first.

  1. Buy it with Buy this addon on its card on Admin → Addons. When the order is confirmed, the key comes down by itself at the next licence check; Collect purchases now under License → Addon keys fetches it at once. The addon is normally switched on as it arrives.
  2. A key you got some other way goes in the Addon key box under License → Addon keys. Paste it and press Add the key.
  3. If its card on Admin → Addons still says Disabled, press Enable.

It starts with six answers already written, such as Opening hours and How much is a hearing aid, and a set of ready replies for your staff.

Where to find it

The sidebar heading AI Live Chat Addons holds Conversations, What it answers, Ready replies, Training and Chat settings. The two permissions are Read the website chat and Reply, and change the chat settings.

How it decides what to say

For every question it tries, in this order:

  1. A reply you wrote under What it answers. Your own words always win.
  2. A page on your website: your services, pages, hearing aids, FAQ and articles, with a link.
  3. General hearing facts: the questions every hearing centre is asked, answered carefully.
  4. The AI, only when a provider and key are set. It is given what the first three found and told to answer in the visitor's language.
  5. It did not know: it asks for a phone number or e-mail address so a person can answer.

Steps 1, 2, 3 and 5 need no key and no internet. The chat never gives a diagnosis: a question about what is wrong with somebody's ear is answered with what a test involves and an offer to book one.

Conversations

Conversations lists every chat, and can show All conversations, Still open, Waiting for a reply or Left their details, or search the messages. Pick one to read it. The screen updates by itself every few seconds and shows when the visitor is typing.

  • Type into Write a reply as a person… and press Send. The paperclip attaches a picture or a document.
  • Ready replies under the box puts in one of your prepared sentences.
  • Dealt with closes the conversation; Open again reopens it. A conversation can also be deleted.

The Visitor Info panel shows who the visitor is when known, their device, browser and language, with Call, WhatsApp and E-mail buttons.

When the chat could not answer or somebody left their details, the dashboard shows Chats waiting.

What it answers

What it answers → + Add a reply. These are the answers the chat gives before it tries anything cleverer.

FieldWhat to enter
What is this about? For example How much is a hearing aid.
Words that should bring up this answerSeparated by spaces. Write the words people actually type, including Banglish such as koto taka or kothay.
The answer in EnglishWhat the chat says.
The answer in BengaliUsed when somebody writes in Bengali. Left empty, the English answer is used.
A page to offer with itA page name such as book, contact or services, or a full address. Shown as a button.
Order, StatusWhere it sits, and In use or Off.

Ready replies

Ready replies are for your staff, not the chat: the sentences typed forty times a week, such as Ask for a number or Thank you. Each has a Name, What it says, a Language label, an Order and a Status.

Training

Training shows Where the answers come from, step by step as above. The first, A reply you wrote, is the one to grow: only your own words can mention your prices, your hours and the road your centre is on.

Questions it could not answer lists real questions that got no answer. Write The answer, in English, The answer, in Bengali and optionally A link to go with it, and press Teach it this: the next visitor gets it. Not worth answering crosses a question off.

The AI behind it

  • Provider: No AI — use the built-in answers only, OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, Mistral, DeepSeek, Ollama on your own server or Any OpenAI-compatible service.
  • API key: stored on your own server; Ollama needs none. Model: leave empty for the default. Endpoint address: only for a service not on the list.
  • Give up after (seconds): if the provider is slow, the chat answers on its own instead of leaving the visitor waiting.

Press Save, then Test the connection to see the AI's answer to a test question.

Getting started

  1. Open What it answers and rewrite the six answers with your own prices, hours and address, in English and Bengali.
  2. In Chat settings, set the Heading and leave the Provider on No AI for the first weeks.
  3. Watch Conversations and reply as a person to anybody Waiting for a reply.
  4. Once a week, open Training and teach it the questions it missed.
  5. Add an AI provider later, if visitors ask much that nobody anticipated.

Tips

  • Write the Bengali answer for every reply. Most visitors in Bangladesh write in Bangla or Banglish.
  • Link answers to your Blog & Articles posts and to the booking page from Appointments.
