Payment Gateway

On this page

The Payment Gateway addon holds the ways people can pay you: bKash, Nagad and Rocket for mobile wallets, a bank transfer for larger amounts, a payment link for card and international payments, and cash at the office. You set each one up once, with your own number or link, and it is offered wherever money is taken online.

It is for a centre whose dealers pay from a distance, and for a centre that runs a shop on its own website.

Switching it on

Payment Gateway is a premium addon, so it must be in your licence.

  1. Buy it from its card on Admin → Addons (Buy this addon), or on the License Center at https://license.faruk.bd. A paid order arrives by itself at the next licence check.
  2. If you have the key already, open License, paste it under Addon keys and press Add the key. Check now asks the License Center at once.
  3. Press Enable on the Payment Gateway Addons card.

The addon starts with six methods ready: bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Bank transfer, Card / international and Cash. All six are switched off until you fill in your details. Until at least one is on, the dashboard shows a Payment methods card saying none switched on yet.

Where the methods are used

WhereWhat happens
Dealer portal with Accounts ManagementPay Dues offers these methods. The payment goes to Payments due for you to confirm.
Dealer portal without Accounts ManagementPay an Invoice lets a dealer settle one invoice with these methods.
Your website shop (E-Commerce & POS)The checkout and the payment page offer the same methods to customers.

Turn the addon off and the shop and Pay an Invoice stop offering these methods. Pay Dues falls back to a plain list (Cash, Bank transfer, bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Other) without your account numbers.

Payment Methods

The screen is More → Payment Methods. It lists each method with its Type, Details, Minimum and Status, and shows how many are switched on. With Accounts Management on, Payments waiting takes you to the queue.

  • Switch on / Switch off offers a method or takes it away. A wallet or bank method cannot be switched on without an account number, and a link method cannot be switched on without its link.
  • Edit opens the method. + Add a method makes a new one.
  • Add the usual methods (shown when the list is empty) puts the six starter methods back.

SettingWhat it does
Dealers can pay an invoice from their portalShows Pay an Invoice in the portal (when Accounts Management is not on).
Accept payments without checking them firstLeave this off unless a gateway confirms the money automatically. With it on, a dealer could clear an invoice by typing any reference.
Show a "Pay now" button on the dealer's invoiceA shortcut to paying from the invoice.
Note shown above the payment methodsThe text the dealer reads above the list, for example: send the money, then enter the transaction ID.

A typical bKash set-up

  1. Open More → Payment Methods and press Edit on bKash.
  2. Type your number in Account / wallet number, choose the Account type (Personal or Merchant), and put your shop name in Account name.
  3. Leave Require a transaction ID ticked, and save.
  4. Press Switch on.
  5. Do the same for Nagad, Rocket and your bank account if you use them.

What the dealer does

  1. In the portal the dealer opens Pay an Invoice (or Pay Dues with Accounts Management).
  2. On Pay an Invoice they choose Which invoice. Then they pick a method and see your number and the instructions.
  3. They send the money from their own phone, then enter the Amount paid, the Transaction ID, a Screenshot or receipt and a Note, and press I have paid (on Pay Dues the button is Send it for confirmation).
  4. Your staff get a Payment to confirm notification. You check the money arrived and confirm it.

An amount above what is still due on that invoice is refused, so a dealer cannot overpay one invoice by mistake.

Tips

  • Keep Accept payments without checking them first off. A transaction ID is only a claim until you see the money in your account.
  • A screenshot of the bKash or Nagad message makes checking quick; ask dealers to attach one.
  • Dealer codes from the Discount & Coupon addon reduce the invoice before it is paid.
