The Studio
On this page
Every member has a Studio at /studio, laid out like YouTube Studio: their videos, numbers, comments, and the pages for asking to be verified, earning and promoting. Its menu (the side menu, and the menu behind the member's picture) holds Content, Analytics, Comments, Upload, Wallet, Playlists, and, when the site offers them, Blog, Membership, Promote, Monetization, Verification and plugin pages.
Channel content
Six numbers sit on top: subscribers, views in the last 28 days, views of all time, videos, likes and comments. Below them are the tabs: Videos, tabs that plugins add (Shorts, Live), Posts when channel posts are on, Playlists, and Articles when the member may write for the blog.
The filter line searches titles and descriptions and narrows by visibility, by status (Live, Waiting for approval, Drafts, Blocked) and by order (newest, oldest, most viewed, most liked, most commented, title).
The table shows each video with Visibility (changed in place from its menu), Status (with Processing..., Waiting to process, Processing failed or Planned: underneath), Date, Views, Comments and Likes (vs. dislikes). Hovering a row brings its tools: Details, Analytics, Comments, Get shareable link and Watch. The ⋮ menu adds:
- Edit title and description in a small dialogue (Everything else... opens the Edit page);
- Promote;
- Download, with every size the member can take (a video from another site has nothing to download);
- Monetize / Stop monetizing, when the channel may earn;
- Delete forever, after ticking I understand that deleting is permanent and cannot be undone. The file, comments, likes, views and playlist places all go.
Tick several rows and a bar appears: Set visibility..., Allow comments, Turn comments off, Monetize, Stop monetizing and Delete.
The Edit page
/edit?v=<id> has the fields of the upload wizard on one page: Title, Description, Thumbnail, Category, Tags, Who can see it, the ticks, Geo-Blocking and plugin fields. A draft or planned video also has Publish it at; administrators see State (site team only). Beside the form: the video link, the source of an imported video, file, state, length, size, resolutions and counts. Save changes stores it; Delete this video removes it for good.
Analytics
Analytics shows Channel analytics, or Video analytics when opened from a row. Choose Last 7 days, Last 28 days, Last 90 days or Last year:
- Views, with the change against the period before;
- Watch time (hours), a rough figure: how far signed-in members got in each video;
- New subscribers (whole channel only), Likes and Comments;
- Views by day as a bar chart;
- Top videos for the channel, or the all-time likes, dislikes, comments and length of one video.
A view is counted once per visitor, per video, per day.
Comments
The Comments tab lists what people wrote under the member's videos, newest first, with a filter and a link per video. Each comment has Open and reply (it opens on the watch page) and Remove.
Verification and monetization requests
A member asks for the verified tick, or for the right to earn, from the Studio pages Verification (/studio?tab=verify) and Monetization (/studio?tab=earn). The page shows What your channel needs, a checklist with what the channel has against each number. When every line is green, a form Ask the site team appears with A few words about your channel, Links that prove it and Send the request.
You set the bar on Admin → Settings → Content, card Verification & monetization requests:
| Setting | Default |
|---|---|
| Take verification requests | on (off: nobody can ask; you can still verify by hand under Users) |
| Verification: subscribers / public videos / views altogether / days on the site | 100 / 3 / 1000 / 7 |
| How monetization is granted | On request (a package with "May earn" skips the asking), Everyone may earn, unless their package says no, or Only members whose package has "May earn from videos" on |
| Monetization: subscribers / public videos / views altogether / days on the site | 50 / 3 / 500 / 7 |
| Monetization needs a confirmed e-mail | on |
| Days before a declined member may ask again | 30 |
Monetization needs the Advertising & Monetization plugin. It is sold as a premium plugin on license.faruk.bd: make sure your licence includes it, then switch it on at Admin → Plugins (see Advertising & Monetization).
Requests wait on Admin → Verification requests and Admin → Monetization requests (group People); the admin bell tells you about new ones. Filter by Waiting, Approved, Declined or All. Each request shows the member's words, links and checklist. Type A word back (optional) and press Approve or Decline. The member gets a notification and an e-mail either way. An approved one can be withdrawn with Take back.
Promoting a video
A member pays from the wallet to have a video shown with a Promoted tag. They start at /promote or from Promote in a row's ⋮ menu:
- Which video - only public, published videos.
- Budget - at least the smallest budget; the page shows the wallet balance and how many showings the budget buys.
- For how many days - it ends sooner when the budget runs out.
- Where it appears - Home page, Beside videos (first in Up next), Search results (when the search matches its title or tags), and when you allow them In the player (a short, skippable advertisement in the AIO Player) and In Shorts (needs the Shorts plugin).
- Start promoting, or Send it for approval.
The whole budget leaves the wallet at the start; every thousand showings costs the price you set, and whatever is unspent goes back when the promotion is stopped, declined or ends. Your promotions shows each one's state, showings, clicks, spending and days left, with Pause/Resume and Stop. A video can have one promotion at a time. Members whose package has No advertisements see no promoted videos.
Admin → Promotions (group Content) lists every promotion with its budget, showings, clicks and state. Let it run and Decline answer a waiting one; Stop ends a running one and refunds the rest. The card How promotion is priced:
- Members may promote videos, and Look at each one first (approval before it runs);
- Price per thousand showings, Smallest budget, Most days at once;
- In the player and in Shorts: In the player, In Shorts, Skip after (seconds, 0 = at once) and Plays at most (seconds).
The Promoted videos cron job ends finished promotions every hour and returns what they did not spend. How members fill their wallet is in Members.
